This study is part of a wider PhD thesis about the contribution of broadsheets to investigative journalism. This particular paper is limited to the Walkley Awards so it is therefore skewed in favor of award-winning reporting. This poses particular issues about the nature of those awards (Hartigan 2011), and the study of them in isolation however, the awards do reveal important aspects of peer.
